A senior fund manager who previously worked for Schroders has been appointed by Standard Life Investments as its new head of stewardship and ESG investment. 

Schroders has made a new senior appointment to boost its UK Strategic Solutions team.

Schroders has published its interim management statement covering the nine months to 30 September 2015 which shows pre-tax profit up 12% to £453.2m.

Profits before tax at Schroders have risen 14 per cent to just under £150million in the first three months of the year.
