The Pension Scams Industry Group (PSIG), the voluntary body set up to support trustees, providers and administrators in combating pension scams, has published the results of a new study.

Since 2015, the Insolvency Service has applied to the courts to wind-up 24 companies that have carried out a form of pension misuse.

Firms must inform consumers how much they could gain from shopping around and switching provider before they buy an annuity, under new rules which take effect today.
